We handle the paperwork and stay your agent after enrollment. Billing issue? Claim question? You call us, not a 1-800 maze.
Southwest Florida coverage is its own puzzle.
Between Lee Health and NCH networks, seasonal residents who split the year between states, a huge self-employed workforce in construction and hospitality, and one of the largest near-retirement populations in the country — SWFL insurance decisions aren't generic. The plan that works in Miami or Tampa can be the wrong fit here.
We live and work in this market. We know which carriers' networks include your doctors at Cape Coral Hospital, HealthPark, or NCH, which plans travel well for snowbirds, and how Florida's ACA subsidies actually shake out for a self-employed family of four.

Frequently asked questions
How much does it cost to work with SWFL Health & Life Insurance?
Nothing. Our help is free to you — we're compensated by the insurance carriers when you enroll in a plan, and your premium is the same whether you use an agent or enroll on your own. You get an independent advocate at no extra cost.
What's the difference between using an independent agent and Healthcare.gov?
Healthcare.gov shows you marketplace plans, but it can't tell you which one fits your doctors, prescriptions, and budget — and it offers no guidance on private plans, supplemental coverage, or life insurance. An independent local agent compares options across multiple carriers, explains the trade-offs in plain English, and stays available year-round when you have claims or billing questions.
When can I enroll in health insurance in Florida?
ACA Marketplace open enrollment runs each year from November 1 through January 15. Those dates apply to Marketplace plans. Outside that window, Marketplace enrollment generally requires a Special Enrollment Period, such as losing other coverage, moving, getting married, having a baby, or certain income changes. Private individual health plans may be available year-round, subject to carrier availability and underwriting. Employers can establish group coverage at other times of year; employee enrollment follows the employer plan's eligibility and enrollment rules. Dental, vision, hospital indemnity, accident, critical illness, and life insurance can be purchased any time of year.
Can you help if I'm self-employed or between jobs?
Yes — that's one of the most common situations we handle in Southwest Florida. Self-employed workers, contractors, and people between jobs often qualify for significant ACA premium subsidies, and we also compare private and short-term options so you can see every route side by side.
Do I need life insurance if I already have coverage through work?
Employer coverage usually equals one or two times your salary and disappears if you change jobs. Most families need ten times income or more to cover the mortgage, childcare, and years of lost earnings. An individual term or whole life policy stays with you no matter where you work.
